Lead Evaluation Specialist

Dr. Shannon Shisler leads the production of various synthesis products, including systematic reviews, evidence and gap maps (EGMs), reviews of reviews, and rapid evidence assessments. She also provides quality assurance for the data related to such projects. She has over two decades of experience in maternal and child health research and is an expert in quantitative methodologies, including meta-analysis. She is also an editor of the Campbell Collaboration International Development Coordinating Group.

Her technical leadership on systematic reviews has included projects related to women's empowerment, aquaculture, child immunisation, irregular migration, fiscal policies, and strengthening agricultural markets. She has led EGMs on a variety of topics, including food security in humanitarian settings, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and anaemia. She also provides training on synthesis methods.

Shannon holds a PhD and Master of Arts in Educational Psychology and Quantitative Methods, a Certificate in Applied Statistical Analysis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University at Buffalo. She is also an editor of the Campbell Collaboration International Development Coordinating Group.
