Food Systems under Pressure: The role of knowledge transfer and capacity strengthening

Reducing poverty and hunger remains a significant challenge worldwide. Climate change and the recent armed conflicts have global repercussions on food prices, thus being important drivers for food insecurity. 

Disseminating knowledge and strengthening capacities are important development cooperation tools. They can boost people’s agency so that they have more control about the food they produce and consume. DEval, in cooperation with 3ie conducted a synthesis study of internationally available evidence on the effectiveness of knowledge dissemination and capacity strengthening interventions pertaining to agricultural supply chains and local consumers.
