Research Assistant

Sanghwa provides technical support and coordination in research, writing, presentation, project management, and business development at the Synthesis and Reviews Office in the UK. 

Before joining 3ie, she served as an M&E and reporting officer at the UN Resident Coordinator Office in Timor-Leste. There, she supported the UN country team and government staff in data synthesis and the creation of high-quality publications. As an independent consultant at 3ie, she contributed to evidence gap maps and systematic review projects on topics including irregular migration, civil society, independent media, gender equality and women’s empowerment, and teacher training. Additionally, she gained experience in M&E and project coordination for KOICA-funded projects in Cambodia and the Philippines. 

She holds a Master's degree in International Development from the University of East Anglia in the UK and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and International Trade (double major) from Seokyeong University in Seoul, South Korea.
