Abhirupa Das

Abhirupa provides research and technical support to the immunization evidence program, working on the quantitative synthesis of evidence on vaccine hesitancy in a range of low- and middle-income countries such as India, Uganda, and Nigeria. Additionally, she is supporting the evaluation of the Collective Impact (CI) Initiative that aims to improve the quality of life of waste-picker households in urban Bengaluru, India. Previously, she has supported the 3ie team in an implementation research project on nutrition in India and the impact evaluation of the National Rural Livelihoods Project commissioned by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.

Prior to joining 3ie, Abhirupa worked as a consultant at J-PAL, providing support for an FCDO-funded evidence synthesis of impact evaluations in India. She has also worked at Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Delhi and Outline India where she was involved in several projects across the sectors of health, education, child protection, governance, and private sector growth.

She holds an MPhil and a Master’s in Economics from Delhi School of Economics. She has completed her Bachelor’s in Economics from Jadavpur University.
