Senior Research Associate

Miriam leads and supports the production of systematic reviews and evidence gap maps on the effectiveness of interventions addressing various development issues such as climate change and resilience, the role of civil society and independent media, and health. Her work focuses on research on mitigating the effects of the climate crisis in low- and middle-income countries. Miriam has worked on synthesizing and mapping evidence on energy efficiency programs and interventions to strengthen resilience against shocks and stressors.  

Prior to joining 3ie, she worked as a consultant for Itad on a systematic review of financial inclusion interventions and collaborated with maNGOma—an NGO that specializes in searching funding for small NGOs in Sub-Saharan Africa. She also worked on social protection programs for disadvantaged children in Argentina for a local NGO.

Miriam holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and Trade from the University of Turin, Italy, and a Master of Science in Development Economics from the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom.
