3ie actively participated in the What Works Global Summit 2019 – the largest global event bringing together leaders in promoting evidence-informed decision-making. We conducted workshops, hosting panel sessions and making presentations on a range of exciting topics.

Marie Gaarder shared the findings from 3ie's efforts to conduct replications of impact evaluations, discuss lessons learned and possible recommendations for various stakeholders. This event is part of the CEDIL-Centre for Evaluation Lecture series.

As part of the Africa Evidence Week 2019, the West Africa Capacity-building and Impact Evaluation (WACIE) program, a partnership between 3ie and the Government of Benin, organised a seminar on the production and use of evidence in public policy design and management in West Africa.

3ie, in partnership with the Research Institute for Compassionate Economics, organised a one-day conference on Promoting latrine use for Swachh Bharat. Research teams shared the results and policy implications of recently completed impact evaluations in Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka and Odisha. We also shared our insights from a unique latrine use measurement study.

T Jayaraman and Sreeja Jaiswal (Tata Institute of Social Sciences) presented findings from a 3ie-funded impact evaluation of the socio-economic and environmental impact of the Konkan Railway in India.
