In fragile situations, which interventions strengthen intergroup social cohesion?

The new mixed-methods 3ie systematic review examined the evidence from 36 impact evaluations based on 24 studies to understand which strategies are effective for which populations in which contexts. Ada Sonnenfeld, lead author of the review, presented the key findings and implications for policy and programmes.

More than 250 people joined this webinar on 15 October 2020 to discuss the barriers blocking women’s economic, social, and personal empowerment, as well as promising approaches to overcoming them.

Evidence Dialogues | Use of evidence in peacebuilding and transitional development assistance

This inaugural edition of the 3ie Evidence Dialogues focused on the role of evidence in the context of peacebuilding and transitional development assistance. Apart from presenting the findings from a new systematic review assessing the effects of interventions to promote social cohesion, the discussion touched upon the role and use of evidence in the sector, building a culture of evidence use, and how to ensure right steps are taken to addresses the existing evidence gaps in this sector.
