Bursaries available for development evaluation training programme, South Africa
3ie is offering three bursaries to support nationals from developing countries for the Development Evaluation Training Programme in Africa (DETPA), from 2 – 13 September 2019 in Johannesburg, South Africa. DETPA is a contextually relevant, practice-based monitoring and evaluation (M&E) programme that aims to promote evidence-informed decision-making for sustainable socio-economic development. This course is organised by the Centre for Learning on Evaluation and Results (CLEAR-AA) and the University of Witwatersrand.
The courses are designed to build the capacity of M&E practitioners, evaluators and new entrants who require high-quality introductory training. They will include a combination of theory and practice based approaches aimed at stimulating interactive participation, critical reflection and debate. Participants can choose between the fundamentals and advanced tracks, or an option to attend individual modules. The fundamentals and advanced tracked are presented in parallel over a period of two weeks. For further details on the programme, click here.
