Tejita provides grant management and research support to the evaluation office. She is currently working on projects around empowerment of adolescent girls and slum upgradation
Prior to joining 3ie, Tejita worked as Research Associate at Yale University’s Inclusion Economics India Centre (previously, EPoD India). There she worked on a project which aims to evaluate the economic effects of Chhattisgarh's project-SKY (wherein free smartphones were distributed to rural women) on women’s access to phones, internet, and digital financial services, using Regression Discontinuity Design methodology. She has also worked on a large scale randomized controlled trial related to women’s access to mobile phones and a panel study on COVID induced migration and local labor market opportunities in rural India.
Prior to her work at Inclusion Economics, she has interned at India Development Foundation (IDF) and worked as Research and Teaching Assistant at Shiv Nadar University. She holds an M.Sc. in Economics from Shiv Nadar University and received her bachelor's degree in economics from Delhi University.
