About the event
The Asian Economic Development Conference (AEDC) is an annual forum that brings together leading researchers, policymakers, and development practitioners to discuss the most pressing economic challenges and opportunities facing Asia and the Pacific. The conference is organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), in partnership with a distinguished university co-host from the region. The 5th AEDC will be co-hosted by the ADB, ADBI, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) at the HKUST campus in Hong Kong, China.
The objectives of AEDC are to promote high-quality research on key development issues shaping the region, offering participants the opportunity to engage with new ideas, emerging evidence, and policy insights at the frontier of development economics.
