Tamanud provides research, evaluation, and stakeholder management support to 3ie’s livelihood evidence program, which focuses on rural livelihoods and women's empowerment. His diverse areas of work include Financial Inclusion, Social Protection, Gender, and Livelihoods.
Prior to joining 3ie, he worked with the Centre for Research on Financial Inclusion and Microfinance (CRFIM) at BIRD, Lucknow, as a Research Officer for five and a half years. During this time, he was engaged in evaluating multiple pan-India studies focused on Financial Inclusion, Microfinance, and livelihoods. He also served in the National Rural Livelihood Mission, the largest poverty alleviation program launched by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.
Academically, Tamanud holds a Postgraduate degree in Economics from the University of Burdwan and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development from National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD & PR).
