John Robson

Reporting directly to the Director of the Synthesis and Reviews Office, John is responsible for overseeing the operational and project management aspects of the 3ie UK branch office and portfolio with a particular focus on a flagship FCDO initiative to pioneer a new and streamlined approach to research commissioning.

John brings over 13 years’ experience leading a variety of projects and programmes. Prior to 3IE, he was based at ODI where he was the Senior Programme Manager responsible for strategic partnerships Before that, he coordinated international development research consortia at the University of Edinburgh’s School of Social and Political Science, oversaw PPL's community grants portfolio, and worked for the U.S. State Department at the American Centre in Yangon, Myanmar.

John has a Masters in Sustainable Development from SOAS, is Project DPro certified and holds a Level 3 award from the Institute of Leadership and Management.
