Tamara provides technical leadership on 3ie's evidence synthesis products across sectors and topics, including the FCDO Research Commissioning Centre (RCC). Her work focuses on establishing meaningful partnerships with teams, evidence synthesis and mapping experts in low- and middle-income countries (L&MICs), and conducting needs-driven and influential systematic reviews, evidence gap maps (EGM), and impact evaluations.
Before joining 3ie, Tamara was a Project Co-lead for clinical and public health recommendation maps (RecMaps) and a guideline methodologist at McMaster University. Tamara is a co-convenor for the Campbell and Cochrane Equity Thematic Group and co-lead for the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluations (GRADE) Adolopment (adoption, adaptation and de novo development of recommendations) project group. Between 2015 and 2019, Tamara coordinated the Global Evidence Synthesis Initiative (GESI), which aimed to enhance the capacity of evidence synthesis in L&MICs through networking and opportunity sharing. Tamara holds a Medical Degree from Université Saint Joseph, Beirut, and a Master's in Public Health from the American University of Beirut. Tamara is a PhD candidate in Health Research Methods at McMaster University, Canada.
