The Global Evidence Commitment (GEC) is coming to Oslo on 11–12 November 2025 for its second annual convening, hosted by Norad and convened by 3ie. Building on the momentum from the inaugural meeting in 2024, this year’s event will bring together the world’s leading development institutions committed to embedding evidence into decision-making.
The Oslo convening will spotlight how organizations are reforming systems, investing in evidence generation, and championing cultures of cost-effectiveness and learning. Participants will exchange lessons, test new approaches like the TRIPS framework, and shape the future direction of the GEC.
Since its launch in 2023, the GEC has become a platform for collaboration and mutual accountability among major bilateral and multilateral actors. The 2025 gathering marks another step forward in ensuring development investments deliver the greatest possible impact.
The public session features opening remarks, new signatories, and a high-level panel discussion on the future of evidence-informed decision-making.
