The KDI School of Public Policy and Management, in association with 3ie and the Asian Development Bank, orgnaised a two-day conference on impact evaluation in development research. 3ie’s Emmanuel Jimenez gave a presentation on the role of communication in impact evaluation programmes.
This review by Snilsveit and colleagues examines evidence from 18 economic incentives-based payment for environmental services programmes to understand the effectiveness on environmental and socio-economic outcomes.
This report is based on a systematic review by Stewart and colleagues that synthesises evidence on the effects of training, innovations and new technology on African smallholder farmers’ income, assets and food security.

3ie’s executive director Emmanuel Jimenez participated in the 2019 Asian Evaluation Week, a leading evaluation and knowledge sharing event in the Asia-Pacific region.
This brief describes how a supportive policy context, strong relationships and wide engagement with decision-makers helped rigorous evaluation findings spur evidence-informed innovation in regulating industrial pollution.
3ie and the Africa Centre for Evidence (ACE) at the University of Johannesburg will co-host a workshop where participants will work together to conduct a rapid systematic review in response to an evidence request on Intimate Partner Violence.
As part of the Africa Evidence Week 2019, the West Africa Capacity-building and Impact Evaluation (WACIE) program, a partnership between 3ie and the Government of Benin, organised a seminar on the production and use of evidence in public policy design and management in West Africa.
