3ie Evidence gap map report 11, 2017
Anadya Portela, Jennifer Stevenson, Rachael Hinton, Marianne Emler, Stella Tsoli and Birte Snilstveit
This report outlines the main findings of an evidence gap map (EGM) on social, behavioural and community engagement interventions (SBCE) related to reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health programmes in low and middle-income countries. It describes the characteristics of both impact evaluations and systematic reviews, highlighting where evidence exists and where there are gaps. The interactive EGM and the accompanying report provides a starting point for researchers, decision makers and programme managers to access the available research evidence on the effects of SBCE interventions.
