Designing impact evaluations: different perspectives

Robert Chambers, Dean Karlan, Martin Ravallion and Patricia Rogers present their views on the evaluation of three interventions – conditional cash transfer, infrastructure, and anti-corruption programme. This was part of the discussions at the 2009 Cairo Conference on ‘Perspectives on Impact Evaluation’ which aimed to work toward a consensus on impact evaluation design.
